Puri, a city in the East Indian state of Orissa also known to many as Jagannath Puri after the world famous Jagannath Temple is one of the oldest cities in the eastern part of the country. It is situated on the coast of the Bay of Bengal and is a popular beach resort, positioned in a unique place so that both sunset and sunrise can be viewed from the beach. Gangtok the capital and largest town of the Indian state of Sikkim is located in the Shivalik Hills of the eastern Himalayan range, at an altitude of 1,437 metres (4,715 ft). Ooty, short for Ootacamund, is a popular hill station located in the Nilgiri Hills and stands at an approximate height of 7,500 feet (2, 286 m) above sea level.
